All the advantages of clean energy and biogas

Fuel costs have been rising steadily for a number of years and the taxation burden increases as well, leading to a double load for the user to bear. For this reason, U.E. has decided to invest heavly on green energy like biogas, that is indicated between renewable energy sources (like wind, solar, hydro power etc.) that can provide not only energy independence, but also the gradual reduction of currentstate of air pollution and greenhouse effect. In 2010 the European Parliamenthas proposed to the E.U. the goal that rebewable energy sources cover 15% of energy used. At the moment, renewable energy sources are less than 6% with a growth rate very low. But a series attempts are now being made to improve the use of renewable energy sources. Right now, Germany is Europe's biggest biogas producer as it is the market leader in biogas technology. Germans have understood the great advantages of “green energy” and are focusing their future looking at renewable energy and energy saving. In 2010 there were 5,905 biogas plants operating throughout the whole Germany. They use biofuels even to feed public transports. The other advantages of biogas energy are: Reduction of energy vulnerability Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions Valorisation of waste from agro-industrial activities Reducing pollution of animal waste, odors and water recovery The production of biogas is possible in small scale sites, obviating the need to supply energy to outlying areas. Even a very basic construction using mostly used materials will produce gas if a few simple design rules are followed. Other advantages of the biogas are that it allows to balance the budget of carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere: in fact the CO2 emitted by the combustion of biogas is the same CO2 fixed by plants (or animals indirectly employed by plants), contrary to what happens to the CO2 emitted from scratch by burning fossil fuels. Another ecological advantage of the use of biogas, is that it prevent the spread of tropospheric methane emitted naturally during the decomposition of animal carcasses and plants: methane is in fact a greenhouse gas more powerful so it is desirable it turns into CO2 and its degradation in water for combustion.
