Few years back cancer treatment in India was not so advanced but now with the advancement in Medical Science patients can receive best treatments. Can treatment depend on number of factors like location, type, amount of disease and the condition of the patient. Most treatments are designed to kill or remove the cancerous cells and eventually removing from the patient’s body so that they do not multiply. Other treatments are based on the defence mechanism of the patient. Here we will discuss two types of cancers Lung cancer and Gi cancer.
Know about Lung Cancer Treatment
Lung cancer is the cancer of lungs. Chest is the location of the lungs so when you breathe air goes through nose down through trachea and then through windpipe and into lungs. This spread through a tube known as bronchi. The cancer begins through the cells which line the tubes. Like any other cancers lung cancers results from the irregularity in the basic unit of life which is human cell. Normally our body checks the function of different parts and maintains a balance on the growth of the cells so that they can divide to form new cells.
Normally lung cancer is of two types
* Small cell lung cancer: It makes up about 20 percent of cases
* Non-small lung cancer: This is the most common type of lung cancer
Sometimes the cancer can start in any part of the body and then spread to the lungs then it is known as metastatic cancer. No doubt this cancer is the deadliest of all and can cause to both men and women. Each year several people die of lung cancer than any other disease. It is most common in older adults. Normally cigarette smoking leads to lung cancer. The earlier you started smoking or the number of cigarette you smoke increases the risk of this cancer. Lung can also occur in people that have never smoked.
Today there are different kinds of lung cancer treatment option. The most common are chemotherapy, radiation and surgical section. The new lung cancer treatments include laser surgery, cryosurgery, targeted surgery, photodynamic surgery and internal radiation. Each lung cancer treatment has its own ability to treat the cancer. They have their own side effects and related complications. Only after careful consideration of factors the treatment is performed on the patient.
Another thing to be kept in mind that lung cancer treatment depends on the individual. There are general guidelines that are given to medical professionals so that they can take decisions and plan the treatment. This is done keeping the patients in mind so that they can know which treatment works for which patient.
What is Gi Cancer?
Speaking about Gi Cancer, it is also known as Gastrointestinal Cancer. It basically comprises of those cancerous cells that affect the gastrointestinal tract leading to stomach cancer, gall bladder cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, liver cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer and others. The exact cause of such type of cancer is not known because they can due to excessive alcohol consumption, high diet animal fat, increasing age, poor preservation of food and others.
