Earlier, reverse osmosis water purification process is an old process of water purification. It was only used in the printing industry. It was highly popular in the field of printing; however, this process did not gain much success while purifying drinking water. Researches have established that reverse osmosis water purification process removes all minerals from water. Therefore, such mineral free water may be required for printing or film making; however, it is not required in the human body.

The major fault of reverse osmosis water purification process is it does not remove chlorine from water. Chlorine is lighter than normal water; therefore, this purification process cannot block this substance. Water purifiers available in the market are much safer than any other purification process and people should opt for such modern technology.
