There are Three Areas in Benalmadena

There is a principality named as Benalmadena in Spain. It is situated in the province of Malaga in the region of Andalucía in Spain. The actual location of Benalmadena is at a distance of 19 kilometers from the Malaga city. This principality can be further divided into three areas. These include the village of Benalmadena Pueblo, Arroyo de la Mieal and Benalmadena Costa.

Benalmadena is a traditional village having narrow streets, good history and houses that are colored white. There is a castle, several museums, a sports center and several modern day shops that are worth exploring in this area of Spain. Arroyo de la Miel is very populated area in Benalmadena. It comprises of the area between the coast and the mountains. There are many tourist attractions in this area which include bilingual library, Tivoli World Theme Park, cable car and a sports complex.

One of the reasons of fame of Benalmadena is that there is a Buddhist Stupa in it. It was opened in 2003 and it is present on the top of mountain looking at the coast. The people that reach the Stupa enter it free of cost. Similarly they have splendid views of the sea from the top.

The most visited area in Benalmadena is Benalmadena Costa. This area has a shoreline comprising of nine kilometers. There are coves and beaches in this area. This area is excellent for water sports activities as adequate facilities are available for that. There is a golf course in this area and a big garden which comprises of an area of more than 200000 square meters. There is a famous park in it by the name of La Paloma Park. There is a lake in this park with water birds for public exhibition.

The source of income for Benalmadena is based on tourism mainly. The reason is that this part of Spain receives hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. The restaurants are growing and so are the staying options as they are having good variety of customers coming in every day. The atmosphere in the area turns lively in the times of Easter week as it’s celebrated in full motion. Similarly the Andalusia day is celebrated on 28th February every year. There are lots of other festivals celebrated in the area especially in the months of June, July and August that make the atmosphere very much lively.
