The progress today news has made

Today news is considered and is indeed a very strong and the most popular weapon which is used by the media and the public to reach out to the masses and make their voices heard. It is via news that we get to know about the events and occurrences of our nation.

News is made available to us via news channels, news blogs and websites which feature all the recent and current news happenings and issues of our city; state as well as our nation. It keeps you posted with all sorts of news events by showing it as breaking news.

However people nowadays lead a busy and monotonous life and therefore they don't get enough time to read each and every bit of the news. Therefore, they prefer referring to the news headlines. News headlines give you a brief summary of the event. It is flashed in bold letters on TV news channels so that it catches the eyes of the viewers. Today news is reaching to the masses not only through TV channels but also through mobile and internet. People subscribe to mobile news alerts and get the most recent and current news in every couple of minutes. Online news websites provide you with news hot off the fire. They keep you posted with all the events and issues of matters of concern. Also there various entertainment sections which provide you with the latest celebrity gossips. You are even updated with the sports news, political news, health and beauty tips, wellness tips, etc.

However many of these web portals and news channels mislead the people by showing even the most insignificant news as breaking news. This proves to be a great source of disappointment for the viewers as it is a total waste of their precious time which they take out from their work. Thus people lose interest in the news and their faith in media.

Media has to make sure that they entertain their viewers but to a certain extent. After all there are entertainment channels and other sources to entertain the public. They should do the job they are assigned for i.e. deliver the most significant matters of the nation such as poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, etc so as to make people aware of the sad state of the nation and this indeed will make people realize to take an action and make their nation a better place to live in.
