Here are some things to look out for:

Event Registration software can be of two types as registration can be done either online or offline.. Online registration usually requires tabs like filling up the relevant details and a submit button to send the information to its required domain. Offline registration can have the same options and also a print out option if they are to be kept as physical records to be again distributed among the participant later.

There are several such software in the market, if you want a special or customized look, and then you might have to pay much more. So it is best to keep the software and its handling as simple as possible. That will be beneficial to both the parties and you can update is as per your requirements.
