The only difference is the fact that in case of solar powered lamps, the electricity consumption is almost nil whereas the electrical powered ones will consume a fair amount of electricity which will increase the overall expenses for the users. However, solar lamps are much less intense compared to the electrical ones and therefore not suitable to be used in places with a large open space.
