Without a tank to hold that volume, urban and rural areas within several miles can be seriously affected by the lack of potable water.

No waste treatment. Waste water along with dangerous substances have to be properly stored and thrown away. Waste water is hazardous to people and nature; keeping it on view may cause a crisis. Storage tanks deal with that issue by serving as bins for wastes that ought to be delivered to amenities for treatment.

No source of fuel. Airports and other transit facilities have their own above ground tanks store where they keep fuel. Storage tanks assist the facilities run their operations effectively by keeping the passenger planes and other types of transport all tanked up. Without using a storage tank on hand, they'll need to obtain fuel in other places. Moreover, problems like aircraft running on fumes cannot be handled since the transit center lacks its own storage facility.

No chemical safety. Factories buy rectangular tanks that can keep corrosive chemicals for business use. In this case, the tank itself needs to withstand the abrasive and corrosive attributes of chemical substances the factory may use. The lack of a storage tank can hinder a factory’s capability to generate goods and increase the possibility of employees getting chemical burns and other industrial mishaps.

No hot water. Hot water is stored in storage tanks, for industrial or residential use. They provide a steady supply of hot water that keeps companies running smoothly. Manufacturing capabilities will be significantly hindered should there be no storage tank to carry the hot water; getting people to carry hot water from the source to the factory is just not a practical option.
