Gold Prospecting Equipments- Their Types

There are various tools required in gold mining which are easy to get and even you too can get one. Gold pan- A simple gold pan and a shovel will coast you less than $5. The gold pan is the most used tool; it is light weight and can be used to explore many gold prospects areas.

The gold pans are available in plastic as well as metal and with different texture and design. Some gold pans may have smooth bottom while some may have riffles or traps. Cradle- cradle is a wooden box that that is used to remove sediments to find finer particles of gold. The cradle has a great and a sieve and two men are required to work on this. Firstly, the sediment or soil that has finer particles of gold is put over the grate.

Once after the cradle is supposed to be moved two and from so that bigger particles stay at there while smaller particles settle down. Along with this water must be poured over it to facilitate the smaller particles to pass through the grate easily. Sieves- It is mesh based pans through which water will pass of easily so that gold can be separated from its similar sized particles.

Windlass- windlass is a method which involves prospecting tools like bucket and rope to dig out gold. Two persons will be required to operate it. One will be at the gold mine base and other one will be at the surface. The person at the base will put soil/mud that is filled with gold particles into to a bucket while the other one at the surface will put it into a cradle to separate gold particles from the rest.

Long toms- They are like paddles only but has a paddle attached to it for the continuous flow of water.
