Sree Janardhana Swamy temple

According to the Malayalam calendar, the new moon day in the month of 'Karkidakam', is regarded as auspicious. It is during this time that thousands of pilgrims throng to Varkala Beach to pray and offer 'Vavu Bali', so that the souls of their departed relatives may rest in eternal peace. A nature cure center situated near Varkala Beach is yet another popular attraction.
Mineral water springs
According to beliefs, the mineral water springs near Varkala Beach are abundant in medicinal properties. You can drink or bathe in the water from the mineral springs.
The Vishnu temple
The Varkala Beach also has a shrine of Lord Vishnu, believed to be more than 2000 years old.
