Most people in the world have a vehicle at home. This was not the case during the olden days or even during the world War one and two. Very few people could afford to use their own transport. Among them only the rich class was able to use transport. With the development of the automotive industry, people can afford to buy all sorts of vehicles of their choice. The financial institutions also provide sufficient amount of offers, this in return are forcing people to have a vehicle of their own. This has become convenient for the people to travel to any distance by road. Today, we find most people have a passion to buy new kind of vehicles and also drive long distances without any hassle. Due to this fact the roads are also getting crowded and with the help of the infrastructural facilities the governments in different parts of the globe are investing in expanding the roads. Not only this, they have also come up with many rules for people to follow while they drive.

Due to all these factors, it is extremely important for every government to be strict on traffic rules. This is because a many youngsters who have just got their license feel it enthusiastic to drive very fast and rashly. Some of them even drive after getting drunk. Most often these kinds of people are more prone to accidents. Hence, it is extremely important for people not to drive while they are drunk. Today, in many cities, transportation has increased rapidly. It becomes extremely difficult to reach our destinations in time if we don’t follow traffic rules. Driving in most cities requires patience. While most people lose this at the front end, tend to hurry when there is a traffic jam. This contributes to further confusions, at time people also start quarrelling on the road, disturbing the traffic at a higher end. All these factors affect the public in a large scale. These could be more common happening in our daily life. Imagine if all these confusions do not arise then even though there is a huge amount of traffic flowing in, it would not disturb the traffic and everyone would become happily driving to their destinations.

However, this does not happen most of the time. There are people who don’t even bother to get their license in hand. Ask them about the different symbols that are put up in places besides the road. You will find people who are not aware of these. Today, most of the cities have lanes, junctions, interjections interchanges, traffic signals and signs. People who drive need to be aware of all those that are around them. Apart from this most cities have speed limits installed, so that people don’t cross the speed limits in these areas. These kinds of speed limits are mainly put up in places where there are plenty of companies, schools and colleges. Keep traffic rules in mind could ensure safety not only for us, but for people who are on the road as well. Traffic rules are laid not only for the people who move by transport, however, it apply to people who are walking on the road as well. Some of these basics are taught to us when we are in school. I still remember my civics teacher teaching me to look both the sides of the road before crossing. She also taught me to check for the signs and signal for crossing the road. Likewise, there are many other rules which I still have in my mind.
