Historical Background of Beaches in Valencia:
There was a popular resort at Playa de Las Arenas beach during the end of 19th and start of 20th century but this resort does not exist today.
The official name of Las Arenas is Playa de Levante but this beach is called by the name of Las Arenas by the local residents.
There was an up-market resort at the beach which is now rehabilitated into a five star luxury hotel called “Balneario de Las Arenas Hotel”. The up-market resort was designed like the Greek temple and was famous as the meeting point of the local middle class residents of Valencia.
