What to expect from iPod Touch 5th Generation
In other words, it is referred as iTouch which acts as a portable media player, personal digital assistant and Wi-Fi mobile device. It is designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It adds the multi-touch graphical user interface to the iPod line and considered as the first iPod with wireless access to the iTunes Store. It also has access to Apple's App Store which enable the content to be purchased and downloaded directly on the device.
IPod Touch 5th Generation
This device is expected to be the most amazing, the thinnest and lightest iPod ever designed. Due to the high technology features of the device, experts estimate it to be one of the best selling products this year.
Technical specifications & Features
As it is not launched till date, we cannot guess the inside specifications of the device. But, there are a few things which we can expect and are as below –
• The latest generation iPod Touch is expected to come in both black and white.
• An A5 processor would be seen in the device, as Apple adds-on the processing power of their devices every year.
• The latest version offers Retina Display and will be running with iOS 5. This means the user can get lots of new goodies to play with.
• The iPod touch comes in 8GB, 32GB and 64GB models, and we expect the latest version of the device to get a capacity bump to at least 16GB.
• We'd like to see some improvement in the camera and a variable-focus lens in the new iPod Touch. This is probably a lot to do with the cost and physical size of the camera.
• Better audio and video format support, for example – we can expect support for OGG, FLAC audio, plus XVID and AVI video.
• Other than this, the latest generation iPod Touch may also include iCloud, Apple's Cloud storage/syncing system and iMessage for realtime chat.
Comparison with 4th generation iPod Touch
If we compare with 4th generation iPod Touch, it features a front-face camera, Retina display with IPS screen, support for recording 720p video, built-in microphone, and a gyroscope. An additional color option is also available with the latest version of the device.
Date of release
The release date of this latest device in the UK is set for October 12, and is expected to be launched in 8GB, 32GB and 64GB iterations.
Pricing
The fifth generation iPod Touch is expected to sell in the US at a price of $199, $299 and $399 respectively. This will surely be a great offer for those people who are eagerly waiting for the device to launch.
Conclusion
So, what else can be expected from this new device. Bigger size, enhanced audio and video formats, extended battery life, larger capacity and what else. The only thing we can think about 5th generation iPod Touch is that, it should be much better than the previous generation.
