Companies Specializing in Injection Molding
What is Injection Molding?
This is a manufacturing process where parts are made from thermoplastics and thermosetting plastic material. At first, material is forced into a heated barrel. Then it is mixed and forced into a mold cavity where it cools and hardens into the configuration of the cavity. The products are designed by an engineer or an industrial designer and the molds are made by a mold maker from metal, usually steel or aluminum and precision machined to form the features of the desired part. Injection is widely used for manufacturing a variety of parts like wire spools, bottle caps, automotive dashboards, one piece chairs and tables, storage containers and most plastic products available today.
Advantages:
It is ideal for producing high volumes of the same product. Other advantages are repeatable high tolerances, wide range of materials can be used, labor costs are low, scrap losses are minimal and there is no hassle of finishing parts after molding.
Disadvantages:
Investment is high as the equipments and running costs are, high and one has to design the moldable parts.
Injection Molding Companies:
Most of these companies offer specialized training, technology and resources. They provide advanced injection molding products and sensors, system support and consulting services for continuous improvement of the injection molding companies.
The Design Team:
Most of these companies have a design which is competent and experienced in all areas of ultra high performance grade, engineering grade and commodity grade resins. They work with resins like Nylon, Polyester and Polycarbonate on a daily basis. They regularly work with their customers in developing working components that maximize the potential of their selected resins at a minimal cost.
The Molding Team:
They have years of experience and can work with the most difficult resins offered in the industry. These companies provide with injection presses that range from 22 ton to 220 ton and their equipment can mold resins that require a barrel temperature of over 700degrees.
