Indulge in the Adventures of Boar Hunting
Boar hunting is increasingly becoming popular as an adventure sport. Many owners of lands or the big names in the hunting business introduce a large number of varieties to improve the collection of their wide herd. The collection of the boars is not only expensive, but their availability is also limited. Wild boars are well known for the damage they can do to the land. Farmers hate them for their ability to destroy a full field in just one night.
boar hunting is often provoked by the tendency of the boars to destroy protected cash crops. Even a small herd of these wild pigs can uproot a large piece of land and can turn them barren. They can cause severe damages to hillsides, trails and even to the fences constructed by the farmers. For this the farmers had to spend huge amounts of money to protect their high yielding varieties. But do these species have their disadvantages only? They have their advantages as well. Generally the perennials uprooted by the boars come back very fast after being uprooted. The annual grasses were grown on an artificial basis and gradually replaced the grasses, which were unwanted as well. In this way, the rampages by the wild boars can favor the growth of the native plants and restore the original balanced habitats.
Though boar hunting declines in the rainy or the winter months, some of the varieties like the Javelina or the Collared Peccary make the day for the hunter. They are the South American varieties, which are really economical and beneficial for the farmers. Many places like Texas, Mexico organizes hunting seasons where as many as 50 countries participate. Though the ecologists may not classify Javelina as the typical boar but this little pig shares some features with the boars as well. Similar in looks and temperament, these varieties are quite popular. They are generally peaceful but become very aggressive and defensive when it comes to any danger faced by their off springs. The Collared Peccary also occupies a considerable percentage of the animal population in states like Arizona and Mexico.
