Grossgrain Ribbon- an Introduction
An important entity of the fashion industry since ages, the ribbon or the riband serves much like an icing of a cake. Being originated back in the 17th century, the grosgrain fabric entered the world of ribbons in the United States in 1920s and the legacy continues till date.

It is widely used as an evening wear; mostly as lapel ornamentations of elite dress coats, tuxedos, overcoats, dinner jackets, etc. and is popular for decorating hats too. It is also useful as a hem material in dress cuts.
