Yearbook Cover & Binding Options
Author: ExpresslyYours | Posted: 25.07.2012When building a yearbook, it’s nice to have a lot of options with your cover so you can be not only creative, but so that you also end up with a long-lasting and great-looking yearbook. There are two popular types of yearbook covers and bindings: Hard Covers and Soft Covers.
Within the hardbound yearbook category, there are several different materials available, some of which look like leather, suede, or other textures. Then, there are also choices between various metallic foil colors and embossed stamping looks to be applied to these covers. Conversely, you can choose to have full-color yearbook covers produced for your hardbound yearbook. With all the options available, you can create a highly professional yearbook that is on target with your theme and/or school colors.
The softbound option is a less-expensive choice that still produces beautiful results. You’ll get full-color printing on your softbound yearbooks, with a lamination that produces a durable cover with a stiff spine. There are often pre-designed yearbook covers available for this softbound option in case you want to simplify your design work and still go with a effective, professional cover.
The method you choose for your covers and binding will depend on your budget, the size of your yearbook and the level of professionalism you are going for.
