The Billabong Sanctuary is a good place to begin if you are interested in wildlife. There are three different habitats in the sanctuary: wetlands, eucalyptus and rainforests, and it is a good opportunity to see how these eco-systems work.

Reef HQ is a coral reef aquarium and visitors are able to see how the Great Barrier Reef lives by taking in this attraction. There are many species of marine life, which can be seen at close quarters, and this is the ideal day out for all the family.

Local Heritage

The area has a National Trust Heritage Centre, an ideal place to visit to learn more about the history of the region. Visitors can see a number of historical buildings at the same time. This is in addition to the museums and art galleries in the area that are home to a number of historical exhibits and items of artistic importance.
