In today’s fast paced society, getting an eight hour sleep can be considered as a dream. In short, it can be considered as a thing of the distant past. It is a known fact that having an eight hour sleep is so important. It refreshes us and charges us for the next day. Just like how Charter Deals are important, in the same way is power nap.

So how do you get the incredible energy for the next day’s activities? Well the solution is simple; Power nap. Having a power nap of twenty or thirty minutes will just recharge you. Seriously one of the best ways to combat the fatigue and sluggishness is to take a power nap. They are also incredibly beneficial for those who get the recommended 8 hours of sleep, since the naps can provide the energy needed to be as productive in the latter part of the day as in the beginning.

Usually, power naps can be as short as 20 minutes or as long as 30 minutes, and the benefits differ depending on the length of the nap. The 20 minute power nap which can easily fit into a work break or lunch hour, increases alertness and energy skills. A longer nap of just 30 minutes helps to get the creativity flowing and improves memory capabilities. The key to power napping is to keep it between 20 and 30 minutes to avoid falling into a deep stage sleep and waking up groggy.

Some of the basic tips for a refreshing nap are

1) Try to keep it short. You could set your alarm for 30 minutes or less. This way you will not fall into deep sleep and wake up groggy.

2) In case, you have shades on the windows at in your workplace, you could pull the shades if possible. Napping in a dark room or wearing an eye mask is fruitful as you get good sleep when there is no light. It just calms your mind when you know you are sleeping in a no light zone. If there is no shades or eye mask, try to block out light by some other method.

3) On a cool day cover yourself with a light blanket to maintain your body heat. It will also help you to fall asleep faster and rest more peacefully. By covering yourself with blankets will give you a feeling of sleeping at home. That will give a peaceful feeling while taking the nap.

Before, most of the software and multinational companies had nap rooms where workers could go catch 15 minutes of sleep. When workers work long hours at a startup, encouraging power napping makes a lot of sense. But in recent years, many companies condoned the nap times from their work place. They feel that workers may abuse and take advantage of this policy by parting and staying up all night. They do it knowing that they can catch up and compensate during lunch and break hours.

What these companies don't realize is that when you forbid naps, you get a staff of half-conscious workers propping themselves up, hogging junk food and galloping down the high level of caffeine in order to be an alert and active employee. Behind the facade, they're just marking time for the rest of the day and not really getting much accomplished. Frankly, if you want productive and hard working employees who give their best for the organization and not bench-warmers, you need to instigate the policy of power napping.

Many researchers and psychiatrists have found out that a power nap is quite productive for employees and organizations. Taking a power nap refreshes and resets the system, boosting energy levels, allowing you to be more productive during the day. Companies should try to introduce these policies into their work system for the betterment of their employees. You won’t want workers who are like zombies and do the work with less efficiency and activeness.
