Sahara India Pariwar is a Lucknow based Indian conglomerate which has business in diverse areas such as Mutual Funds, Hospitality, Life Insurance, Media & Entertainment, Financial Services, Housing Finance, Real estate, consumer products, Infrastructure, Tourism, housing etc. The company was started in 1978 by Subrata Roy Sahara with three workers in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh and now it is become one of the leading companies of India. Recently the company announced the launch of world's largest dairy on April 1, 2013. For this business he will acquire 9000 acres near Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh besides land in Madhya Pradesh.

According to Subrata Roy Sahara, the managing worker and chairman of Sahara India Pariwar, the launch of world's largest dairy is an initiative to make a foray into dairy business. Through this dairy the company is planning to produce 50 lakh tonnes of milk”.

Subrata Roy Sahara assured that, pure milk would be made available to public through this dairy. The objective of introducing this dairy is to increase productivity of milch animals and thereby milk products to meet the continuous increasing demand for milk in the country.
