Puerto Rico faces the Atlantic Ocean and has miles of white sand beaches that face the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Some of the beaches are world-ranking as far as surfing goes. Among the other top beaches is that of Flamenco and was dubbed by the Discovery Channel as the second most beautiful in the world. It is surrounded by a low line of hills and is in the shape of a horseshoe. It has glassy waters in varying shades of blue. If surfing is what you are looking for then Rincón will suit the bill for you. Several international competitions are held here and it is known as the Hawaii of the Atlantic.

The warm winds and water of the Atlantic also make Puerto Rico the perfect place for kite boarding. Isla Verde and Ocean Park are two beaches known to attract a lot of kite boarders. Puerto Rico has over 300 beaches to choose from. The good thing is that there is one to suit every taste.
