With the malls and supermarkets coming in at every place, the requirement to store the goods is also increasing. It is not the storage that matters, there are other requirements also, like easy access to the goods, presentation of the goods and safety of the goods. Long span shelving addresses all these requirements more efficiently.

The long span shelving provides a better option because of the space efficiency it offers. The shelves are big without any obstructions in between which helps in stacking the goods in a better way. The shelves offer different varieties to suit the goods that are going to be stored. There are timber shelves, metal shelves and mesh shelves. Timber shelves are preferred to not so heavy dry goods. Metal shelves can take much more load and cleaning is easy and is preferred for heavy goods. Mesh shelves are preferred for the goods which require ventilation.

These storage shelving has modified the looks and efficiency of warehouses, godowns and stores. They can be constructed in any span of height or width to suit the requirement. The storage shelvings can be dislocated and relocated which is an added benefit of these shelves. These shelves are provided with locks which avoid accidental folding of shelves and damage to shelves and goods. In case of metal shelves, the quality of shelves depends on the gauge of the metal used and it can be varied as required. Heavy gauge metal is used for heavy goods and lighter gauges can be used for light weight goods. The size of the shelves can also be varied from huge to small depending on the requirement.

When the goods are stored in long span shelves, finding the required box or goods is also easy. Long span shelving options have changed the concept of storing goods and have made the task of storing and sorting much easier.
