Leaving children in a hot parked car is very dangerous

This is very risky practice and we have seen in the media how kids have suffered from overheating.
Once again it has been highlighted in a report in the Daily Mail in the UK in July of another incident of this nature. The temperature was 20c degrees outside when a parent left their child in the car and went to do some shopping.
The parent received a 12 month sentence from a magistrate for this reckless action to set a precedent to other parents in order to stop this practice. The court considered this a very serious offence.
Chris Cloke, head of the Child Protection Department in the UK said “one should never leave an unattended child in a car especially on a hot day and I am pleased to see this action taken by the courts".
