The sole motto of the company was to try and offer its clients with high quality toys at the minimum possible of price. With time, the company started gaining immense popularity and gradually emerged to be one of the major manufacturers of soft toys in the US. The company had three huge plants in US, one in West Virginia and a couple other in Pennsylvania apart from numerous other international plants as well.
Coming to the hallmarks of the company, most would suggest that in the early days, the manufacturer focused on toy trains more than anything else. The first train they proudly marketed was named the Pleasure Line that paved its ways for subsequent string of successes. Ever since its launchings, this brand of products have gained in popularity much quickly mainly because their prizes are significantly lower compared to what you get from the other reputed manufacturers in the likes of American Flyers and Lionel Corporation.
Marx toys are special in the sense that they uses modern technology that makes its products look and feel much sophisticated and realistic but the most important part of the story is that they never induce additional charges for the sake of technological inclusions in their products. The company made electric trains is unique and features open framed motors that is connected to the axle from the armatures thereby making it highly realistic.
The earlier models used to feature the open switches and low trucks having little wheels but with the newer models include metal gears, connected couplers and closed switches to give an even more compactness to the design.
