Roof tiles are generally manufactured in such a way that it should keep the rain water away and does not leak during the rainy season. The traditional roof tiles are made up of clay or slate. In the modern days, the floor covering in the urban area is made up of concrete or plastic. As the days are passing the styles and types of tiles are also getting evolved. The floor covering are again different from that roof or any other.

Since the floor is always exposed to most rough usage these are generally hardy. Though these are floor coverings, bathroom tiles are something special since these are exposed to the maximum threat of water every day. The bathroom tiles have a waterproof glaze which repels out the water from being soaked by the floor.
