In today’s mechanical world ruled by the mass media, you get to do anything at your convenience. You rule their entire world in just few mouse clicks with the help of the fastest internet connection. You tend to depend on the internet for everything like, your studies, your career, your entertainment, your necessity, etc. Having a high speed internet connection like the Xfinity Internet for your laptop is a basic need of every individual in the world. A slow internet connection is the most annoying issue in this fast paced world.
Nowadays you pay a lot to get a high speed internet connection as you have lost your patience fully. You tend to get stressed and irritated when it takes more than 5 minutes to download a file. You wish to have everything done in seconds with few mouse clicks. In such case, do you really know whether you are getting what you are paying for? You pay a few dollars for your internet connection thinking it’s fast enough for your requirement. But the question is that is the internet connection that you have is worth the dollars you pay?
It seems to be a common question in everybody’s mind. If you find your internet connection to be slow, you start blaming your service provider, no matter how good your service is. But do you know there can be many faults in your side for the internet connection to be slow? Try fixing them and then check your internet speed? You will find a change in internet speed and try different locations and choose the location with the best speed. It’s always good to avoid placing the router near large objects and try to centralize it, near to your computer. You can even reset your modem or router for a better experience. When you are resetting the modem, allow it to automatically reboot and then check your internet speed.
Now that you are done with the above steps, try using a different browser and compare the speeds in the browser you used before and the one you used now. If you are lucky, you can find a change as some browsers are slow compared to others. To say, it’s worth your time to check the speed in different internet browsers. Even now if you are not satisfied with the speed of your internet connection, try deleting the temporary files, cookies, and clear the browser history, avoid the dangerous downloads, and frequency interferences. Check for the firewalls and remove the unwanted add-ons and check for the free space. Run a virus scan and it’s also better to run a disk defragmentation.
If all these steps had no effect on the internet speed, then consider upgrading your computer, modem and router. It’s really good to check for the updates regularly as that can help your device function properly which indirectly allow your internet to run at the said speed. Then as a final step check the speed of your connection through the online speed test and find if the internet connection is worth your dollars. It is very necessary that your check for the security issues of the connection as security concerns have a serious effect on the internet speed. A properly secured network connection can have the highest speed and in case of sharing your connection can reduce your speed. If none of these steps work out on your internet speed, then, it’s the fault with the service (fault on your side to choose such a service provider) and so it’s better that you can change your internet connection to a better one.
