Hawkes Bay wedding photography is a luxury
Hawkes Bay is one of the most beautiful region in New Zealand, well known for its wine industry and incredibly warm weather. It is also the home of Black Barn Vineyard, recently as one of the top tourist vineyard in the world. There are three main cities in Hawkes Bay, Napier, Hasting and Havelock North, all within about 15 minutes drive of each other.
Hawkes Bay is very popular with weddings for overseas clients and has about 300 weddings per year in total. Wedding photography in Hawkes Bay is a luxury because of the beauty of the sceneries, and the variety of it, from the view at Te Mata Peak, to the vineyard, to the Oak Drive, as well as beautiful hidden bushwalks, streams and waterfalls. For bridal photography, a wedding photographer should never runs out of ideas, simply because of the endless amount of beautiful sceneries available. The main problem with Hawkes Bay wedding photography is the heat and the sun during the summer which can make photography very tiring and difficult. However for the bride and groom, the idea of almost guaranteed sunshine on their wedding is one of the main reason for choosing Hawkes Bay to celebrate their magical day.
Te Mata Peak is a very popular destination for the bridal shots, with its stunning view over Havelock North. The drive up can be a bit windy but it also offers a very rugged backdrop for some stunning images. There are also beautiful mini tree lines and forests to compliment the photography set.
The Oak Drive is another popular spot for wedding photography in Hawkes Bay. It is a long road with beautiful big oak trees lining up on both sides, providing a beautiful tunneling effect that can be used to create very dramatic and artistic wedding photos gallery. With the afternoon golden sun, the street simply glows with romance and warmth.
The vineyards around Havelock North not only provide amazing wedding venues, but also amazing photography locations. Blackbarn, Sileni, Craggy Range, as well as many others offer world class venues for the couples to celebrate their wedding day. Many couples choose not to leave the venue simply because the vineyards offer enough photography opportunities and give the couples more time to spend with their guests.
Hawkes Bay wedding photography is certainly a luxury and privilege for many wedding photographers here in New Zealand.
