Things to Do in Cordoba City Centre

There is so much to do close to many of the hotels in Cordoba City Centre that you are spoilt for choice. Whether you are interested in shopping, sightseeing, nightlife or dining, there is something for everyone.

The city boasts a good blend of modern and traditional shops, so there is a wide selection of things to buy. Plenty of stores offer embossed leather goods and silver products. These are popular trademark goods from Cordoba. Many bargains can be picked up in the market areas, while El Corte Ingles, a famous Spanish department store, offers a comprehensive range of products for sale. Top shopping areas are Ronda de los Tejares, Plaza de las Tendillas and Avenida de Gran Capitan.

There are some great bars and clubs in the area offering a significant range of entertainment opportunities. You can go and watch a flamenco show or experience one of the local festivals if you are there at the right time. There are various live music shows and theatre productions taking place at Cordoba’s many venues.

La Mezquita should be at the top of your list whilst visiting Cordoba. It is a beautiful ancient mosque-cathedral with stunning architecture and a must-see masterpiece within the building. There are also plenty of museums to enjoy, including the Bullfighting Museum, the Regina Museum and the Archaeological Museum. The botanical gardens offer a lovely day out for those who enjoy the great outdoors and seeing new trees and flowers. Cordoba is also home to the largest olive groves in Spain.

If you are a fan of sports and adventure, Cordoba offers a wide range of outdoor activities in which to take part. Among these you can choose from hiking, biking or horseback riding, taking in the stunning views as you go. There are also various golf courses to visit.
