Coating Problem in One S is Only in Some Units, Phone Can Be Returned
There was a complaint about the black colour variant of the HTC One S that the ceramic finish on the handset sold to some users got inexplicably damaged. The problem was looked by HTC and it said that the issue was in some isolated units. According to HTC, it is committed to deliver a high quality product and a brilliant experience to all customers. There have been just a few isolated reports about the issue. It said that the finish on the One S was lab texted. It is hard but it doesn’t mean that it can’t be damaged.
Irrespective of all this, HTC is very serious about the quality and is providing the immediate fix to all the customers. Some small changes are being implemented in order to ensure the customers do not experience the issue in the coming time. But, the aforesaid ‘immediate fix’ doesn’t seem to be a fix. So you should go to the store where you have acquired the HTC One S and get the replacement unit. But, it should be under DOA period, and whatever is covered under warranty will be fixed.
There is no doubt that the above said problem has created a trouble for some users, but as a matter of the fact, the HTC One S has created a great fad among a plenty of users for its sophisticated features. It comes equipped with an 8 MP snapper with a plethora of camera features which include autofocus, LED flash, simultaneous HD video & image recording, geo-tagging, face detection and smile detection. Besides, internet connectivity is also possible in this device via GPRS or Wi-Fi, and internet apps like Google Search, Gmail, YouTube and Google Talk make the browsing experience more fun. A-GPS and Google Maps are the navigation features in this handset. Beats Audio, media player and stereo FM radio with RDS are the entertainment features in the HTC One S. TV-out is also incorporated for watching the visuals and images on your television screen.
You can also read Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents on the move with the help of document viewer feature of this gizmo. Large amount of audio files, visuals, images and other documents can be stored in built-in 16 GB internal memory of the HTC One S. It comes with 119.5 grams of weight and the dimensions of 130.9 x 65 x 7.8 mm. The 4.3 inches super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of the handset displays up to 16 million colours, and supports the image resolution of 540 x 960 pixels.
