Games & Puzzles for kids
We all know that is important for kids to play with games and toys. But what kind of games should they play is a prime concern. According to researchers, kids should play with games that can help them use their brain and win over the minds of fellow players. It is often recommended that kids should indulge in playing board games & puzzles. Board games like Monopoly, Business, The game of Life, Pictionary, Scrabble, and Boogle. There are a lot of puzzle games available in the market for your child such as Frank Puzzles, Rubik’s Cube, ELC Race Track Puzzle, Ravensburger Puzzles and many other puzzle games.
These games have gained importance because parents have seen a change in their kids' growth. Kids who play such games are more active and intellectual. They have gained a commendable sense of confidence and smartness in themselves. This is because, board games and puzzles pressurize your child’s brain to think and become decisive. There are a lot of moments in the game which involve kids to think wisely and take a rational decision for themselves so that they get close to winning.
Here are some board games and the history behind them-
1.Monopoly- It is an American board game published by Parker Brothers. The game has the following things taking the space on the board- Twenty two colored streets, four railway stations, two utilities, three Chance spaces, three Community Chest spaces, a Luxury Tax space, an Income Tax space, and the four corner squares namely- GO, [In] Jail/Just Visiting, Free Parking, and Go to Jail. In this game, when a player lands on a specific space has to abide by the demands generated by it. For instance, if you land on the Income Tax space, then you have to pay tax to the bank and thereon you can move forward. This game helps children to develop their business skills and know how the government works and know about different types of taxes being followed by the countries.
2.The Game of Life- This game was originally created in 1860 by Milton Bradley, but later on it was produced by Milton Bradley Company of Springfield, Massachusetts. The game ‘Life’ is all about one’s own life. It inspires its players and helps them to experience their life from college to retirement. You go through a long way with jobs, marriage, and children. Two to ten people can accommodate in this game. The board of this game consists of various creations such as small mountains, buildings, and other objects. There were plastic cars and ‘people pegs’ were placed in them. The game teaches a lot about the life and how things should be solved.
3.Pictionary- This game is designed by Robert Angel in 1985 and was published by Seattle Games Inc. This is a board game and has got different cards in which words are written which the member of a team has to draw so as to get it rightly guessed by its fellow team member.
