Luxury at it’s Best

Luxurious, high-quality, hand-made products will bring all kinds of qualities to your environment: a sense of style, relaxation, beauty, class, and something truly unique. When it comes to choosing luxury products, please follow these simple rules:

1. Materials

If the materials are cheap, then the quality and finish will also be cheap. There is some great cost-effective furniture out in the market, but it often has to be replaced every couple of years, often by another cost-effective option. I believe in using the finest timbers, metals, and glass in products, and making these products stand the test of time. I would rather spend a little bit more and know that the product will last a long time, and not need to be replaced.

2. Craftsmanship

It is important that the products are designed to “come to life” at the hands of a true artist. Luxury products are hand-made, often by an artist of great experience and skill, which is reflected in the final product. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the product, it’s origin, and even about the artist – their inspiration, background, history. Every product has a story, and often we don’t take the time to discover it.

3. Finish/Presentation

This is perhaps the most important, and if the right materials and craftmanship have gone into the product, it is the easiest indication of luxury and quality. Whether it is a chair, wallpiece, or table, be sure that the product has been expertly presented and designed in its final form, and is completely ready for display in your home. I am not a big believer in assembling the furniture yourselves; the way it is presented to clients, is the way it should arrive at it’s new home….yours.

As I mentioned, luxury products contain all of these elements, and with the quality materials, craftmanship and finish, of course there will be a more expensive price tag attached to it. With luxury products, this should never be questioned – I would rather spend a little more money knowing the product will last many years, giving you freedom and peace of mind in the design process.
