Protective Netting – Safety First
Every product needs protection – and the need for protection is even more pronounced in the case of Industrial products, machinery and parts. With so many unique features and product specifications associated with the individual products, and with many risks associated with products in manufacturing, storage and transit, protective netting forms an integral part of industrial products, their production and distribution. And it is not just about protecting the casing of the products but is also that of ensuring that the various materials that are stored into the cases stay safe and secure within the confines of protective netting.
While the concept is straight forward, the technologies that drive the production of protective netting very much depends on the kind of product that is intended to be protected. There are specific needs associated with commercial as well as industrial products, and there are different kinds of protection that are needed in terms of providing security to the contents that are in place. However, the unifying factor in all these cases is that protective netting has to be precise and should serve the purpose, irrespective of the kind of products that are in consideration. And it takes the right kind of technology in place to ensure that protective netting meets the exact specifications as required by the clients. The typical example that would flash across minds when it comes to the value added by protective netting would be the gas cylinder – it is an industrial equipment or an industrial product that requires the highest levels of protection, since it is not just a question of retaining the products without being damaged, but is also preventing any harm to people involved in the manufacturing and handling of the product, all through the product lifecycle.
The material used for the production of protective netting varies from one product to another, based on the specifications. In the case of protective netting for the gas cylinder, it is High Density Polyethylene or HDPE, which is known for its being non-toxic, along with its other beneficial properties as its being UV protected, capable of standing the tests of various environmental conditions as direct sunlight and unfriendly weather conditions. Low Density Polyethylene or LDPE is also one of the materials that could come in handy since it has the properties of being wrapped around products in all kinds of forms and shapes. Protective netting offers other advantages such as allowing sufficient aeration without problems such as moisture retention.
