Having a job as a roofer often gets quite difficult and one must bear high levels of responsibility when in it. While they require physical strength to install and repair the roofs, climb the ladders and scaffolding etc and most importantly, they must be familiar with heights. There is no way a person who is afraid of heights can ever turn out to adopt roofing as a profession.
The job requires one to work long hours at a stretch mostly, as some parts of the roof once began working on, cannot be abandoned incomplete and the job must be completed before one can even take a break from work. Roofers must thus, be physically strong enough to work for such long hours and are required and advised to wear clothing specifically designed for the roofing activities in order to avoid facing any injuries, which are possible, while working at such heights under the open sky.
