Mark toy soldiers are accessories that have been the childhood fantasies of most children around the world in the 1950’s. Generally most kids, particularly boys always prefers toys associated with wars and action but speaking of 1950, a sting of violent wars across the world in the early 19th century played its role in boosting an additional impetus in the minds of the younger generation in collecting the figures.

However, the manufacturer Louis Marx toys and Company has traditionally known to sell a lot of toys that are associated with the US military. If you are wondering why, let me tell you that the founder Louis was himself a US military sergeant before establishment of his company in 1919.

Over the years, they have been highly preferable among large sections of boys. While the girls commonly preferred Barbie dolls, boys always had a preference towards the action packed activities. However, as time passed by the preferences and likes of a large section of kids changed dramatically. Ever since the advent of computers, a big chunk of both young boys as well as girls have shifted to the more realistic computer games which in turn have taken a toll on the sales of toys. Unfortunately, the traditional accessories lacked the extra punch that was clearly visible in case of the video and computer games which subsequently led to its downfalls.

Even though the sales been going southwards, reducing, in several countries across the world, particularly the poorer nations that have still not saw technological renaissance, traditional toys still continues to be the major form of entertainment among the younger generations but with rapid global technological advancement, the future of the toy industry unfortunately lies in a pool of uncertainty.
