Raincoats for All School Children

I used to wait for the rainy season all through the year. The reason of the long awaited attitude of mine was my love for raincoats. It sounds weird that somebody can love raincoats so much that the person will wait all through the year to wear it, but it is true. I had and still have a huge collection of colorful raincoats. The colors of raincoats on the rainy days used to give me a joyous feeling. I still see the kids when they go to schools on the same rainy days wearing raincoats. It gives me the same feeling as it used to give me.

Raincoats can also be called as a substitute of umbrellas. They are basically waterproof coats worn to get protected from rain. The term rain jacket is used as a synonym of raincoats that are usually of waist length. A rain jacket is often combined with a pair of rain pants by many people to make a complete rain suit. In the modern times, raincoats are often made of breathable, waterproof fabrics like Gore-Tex and coated nylons. These fabrics are not air tight and allow the air to pass through. It allows the piece of clothing to 'breathe' so that sweat vapor can pass by. There are many types of raincoats.

The important styles include Mackintosh, Waxed jacket, Poncho, Anorak, Gannex, Cagoule, Trench coat, Driza-Bone and Sou'wester. Raincoats might be one of the last attires we do not think of as a part of a child’s wardrobe, though it is one of the very important and essential part of a kids’ wardrobe. A raincoat is perhaps the last thing parents think that their child may require of until it rains. Most of the raincoats we can find in the market now come a long way from the plastic raincoats. They come in a very tiny plastic packet with a snap on it and can also fit even in a purse or a small bag.

The raincoats today have become a fashion statement. They will enhance the outfits of the kids’ wardrobes. The more stylish and unique raincoat one wears, the more stylish the student called to be. Therefore, by now parents also should forget the trend of umbrellas and get their children the trendy raincoats that work same as umbrellas.
