Career Path of Scaffolding Training

Those who are involved with work at height jobs would need the relevant scaffolding training courses which qualify them to work at the scaffolds as they would have the relevant knowledge and skills to ensure their safety as well as those around them.

The right scaffolding training is crucial to those in the construction and high elevation jobs industry. It is not just for the workers who would be up on the scaffold only; managers and supervisors need the industry approved scaffolding training to facilitate any construction work at the work site safely.

Choices

There are many types of scaffolding courses in the market but not all of them are approved by the relevant industry. One needs to consider carefully the myriad of scaffold courses in the market which may not be relevant to their work environment or local authorities’ requirement.

One of the best scaffolding training providers is the CISRS which offers a list of industry approved scaffolding training courses for those in the relevant industries. These courses include CISRS Basic Scaffold course, Scaffold training Parts 1 & 2, Scaffolder Skill test and assessment, Scaffold system inspection, System Scaffold, Scaffold Stair Tower and advanced scaffold trainings of higher levels.

There are also refresher courses which qualified CISRS candidates would need to take after every 5 years; this refresher scaffolding training is necessary to update the CISRS certificate holders on the latest scaffolding equipment, tools, techniques and skills as well as the changes in legislation.

Qualifications

Successful candidates of CISRS scaffolding training courses will receive the coveted CISRS certificate on scaffolding as well as the CISRS photo card with the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation Guidance notes.

These widely recognized emblems are valid for 5 years, after which a refresher course is required for renewal unless one proceeds to advanced levels of scaffold courses. Those who are ambitious to carve a successful career in this arena would consider the CISRS advanced scaffolder training or the CISRS advanced scaffold inspection training.

There is also the CISRS advanced skills test to prove the scaffolder’s ability and deftness in handling the various advanced scaffolding equipment and tools.

Such scaffolding training is crucial for all those who intend to work in the construction or work at height industries; this includes high-rise window cleaners, bridge construction, condominium builders, tower builders and maintenance workers.

Some could also be an administrator or receptionist at work at heights environments; some scaffolding knowledge would be beneficial to them for their own safety and health.
