Tamin Theodore Kim Opens Cutting Edge Salon

Tamin Theodore Kim decided it was time for a complete change and completely made over the tired old-fashioned barber shop his father had worked before him into an ultra modern edgy unisex hairdressing salon. Black, chrome, slashes of red he called the salon TTKUS leaving clients to wonder what it meant. Only the insiders realized it stood for Tamin Theodore Kim Unisex Salon. As his only experience was cutting men’s hair, he had to employ a hairdresser to attract female clients and poached a Celebrity hairstylist Andrew Uhm to be lead stylist. Andrew Uhm was not only extremely talented; he was also extremely good looking. His claim to fame was when he had handed hair rollers to Tamin Theodore Kim’s famous superstar hairdresser cousin Ellen Kim (simply known as Kim!) backstage at a runway show during New York fashion week.

On the opening day of GSMF, Andrew Uhm , slid his skinny (but toned) legs into even skinnier black jeans, pulled on a tight black t-shirt with a red slash on it (for synergy with the salon décor) and prepared to meet his first client. Tamin Theodore Kim had warned him that Tracey Scott was a former client of Kim! And she would be one tough customer, especially as now reaching her 40th year, she had decided to go blonde, Andrew Uhm was a little apprehensive especially with her knowing Kim! And the salon back in New York. She swept into the salon like royalty, sniffed once and stared at Andrew as if trying to place him. She began to tell him what shade of blonde and what kind of highlights she wanted and Andrew listened patiently. At that moment, the door opened and in walked David Weremay the up and coming star of the teen reality TV show about to go nuclear. “Hi” she drawled, “Can anyone trim my hair”? Tracey glanced across and satisfied that she had discovered “the next big thing”, allowed Andrew Uhm to work his magic. Tamin Theodore Kim seated Weremay and glanced over and grinned at Uhm who looked back at him and winked. Andrew Uhm then thrust his Versace-clad hip forward looked in the mirror checked his cheekbones and began cutting. TTKUS was open for business!
