Inkjet Cartridge Care and Recommendations
Inkjet cartridges vary according to the model and brand of the inkjet printers. Since there is a huge variety of inkjet printers available in the market and the printer manufacturers are in a hurry to add to the list of their product line. It’s true that the printer you have chosen will be in line with your needs. Whether you are using it for printing school documents, photographs or business proposals, its cartridge or laser toner is its most important part. In this article, we’ll discuss recommendations on inkjet printer and inkjet cartridge.
Inkjet Printers
Inkjet cartridge or laser toner has two versions: mono and color. Although the trends are moving towards new advancements and color inkjet printers are now prevailing everywhere but still mono inkjet printers has the same importance as they are used everywhere for printing documents and blueprints.
An inkjet printer makes use of inkjet cartridge which sprays tiny drops of ink on to the page. The ink filled in an inkjet cartridge or laser toner is ionized i.e. it holds electric charge on it so that it reaches spots on the paper that were directed by the magnetic plates behind the paper. Normally, a small clip is present in every inkjet cartridge that communicates with the PC and the printer for a variety of operations including:
• Cartridge levels (the amount of ink left in the cartridge) and
• Cartridge compatibility means the proper or improper working of cartridge with the printer.
The inkjet cartridge is available in two versions for inkjet printers.
Thermal Inkjet Cartridges
Most of the renowned printer brands use thermal inkjet cartridges in their printers. There is a tiny resistor in the ink tank or reservoir which creates a bubble in the ink on receiving the electric charge. This bubble expands and expels the ink out of the nozzle of the ink tank.
Piezoelectric
The working of piezoelectric printers is slightly different. The technique used in these printers is first patented by Epson and in this technique, a small crystal is set to vibration with the help of electric current which vibrates, expands and pushes the ink out of the ink tank through its nozzle. This technique brings an added advantage i.e. due to its smaller nozzle; the printer becomes capable of printing high quality printouts.
Inkjet cartridges can also be categorized in another way:
• All in one cartridges
• Individual cartridges
All in one cartridges
This laser toner contains cubicles for Yellow, Magenta and Cyan. The greatest disadvantage associated with this cartridge is that if any of the colors runs out then you need to change the whole cartridge.
Individual Cartridges
These types of cartridges make use of individual cartridge for Yellow, Magenta and Cyan. The biggest advantage of using this type of inkjet cartridge is that you need to change the cartridge that runs out.
Inkjet Cartridge Recommendations
For proper care of inkjet cartridge and inkjet printer, the following recommendations should be followed:
• Buy only genuine laser toner
• Avoid buying compatible cartridges
