Diablo 3 Class Resources Explained
This guide will give a concise breakdown of Diablo 3 class resources, how they work, and why they’re so critical to the success of any aspiring hero. The rules regarding them are set and easy to understand, but their application depends on practice, determination, and skill to reach full potential. Each class has their own resource that is used for abilities, whether special, offensive, or defensive. Without them, from Monks to Wizards, they are severely crippled, which is why these resources are incredibly important.
Barbarian Fury
We begin this Diablo 3 Class Guide with Barbarians. They are masters of close-quarters combat and war-hardened warriors. While on the battlefield they thrive on Fury to overpower and demolish their enemies; it’s the prime resource of destructive ability. In terms of generation, every successful attack they make, and take, increases their seething Fury. When out of combat it slowly diminishes to zero.
Demon Hunter Hatred and Discipline
Tactical, agile, and deadly, the Demon Hunter relying on Hatred and Discipline stalks the creatures of Sanctuary. They’re unique among the Diablo 3 classes because they have to delicately balance their actions between the two. While Hatred regenerates quickly and is used for most offensive abilities, Discipline on the other hand builds slowly and is employed for more decisive and defensive purposes.
Monk Spirit
The Monk, like the iron-clad barbarian, is a savant of up close and personal combat. However, they rely on Spirit to unleash lightning-fast combo attacks and well-trained defensive abilities for his Diablo 3 Leveling. By inflicting special skills and getting entangled in melee, it manifests and fuels the Monks crusade. It doesn't decrease over time, but shouldn't be wasted!
Witch Doctor Mana
Of all the Diablo 3 classes currently out there, the witch doctor is among the most interesting. While this class is basically a one-man army, nearly everything they do requires Mana to execute. Whether summoning, spreading diseases, or conjuring defensive moves. The resource regenerates by itself, but through skills like Mana Steal, witch doctors can easily replenish themselves.
Wizard Arcane Power
Wizards are the legitimate caster in class of Sanctuary, wielding the elements and brazenly invoking destruction on their foes. Instead of Mana, the Wizard calls forth their learned spells, from multiple disciplines, using Arcane Power. Luckily, it’s a quickly regenerating essence, however, their mix of mystical abilities and ethereal defenses require tactics, and can be challenging to master. That’s why no Diablo 3 Class would be complete without touching on it.
