Plethora of M Tech, Marine Engineering and Merchant Navy Colleges in India Offering Versatile Choice
In India, in the present scenario, the most advantageous position is definitely taken up by the students who are about to go for the graduation and post graduation degrees. In the earlier days, only a few subjects were possible to be taken up in the graduation colleges. Post graduation was rare and people didn’t require going for such courses because there were enough jobs for them.
As the competition increased and many candidates started to apply for a single post, the qualifications mattered. A situation arose where the best qualified person was offered the job. To become qualified enough for different jobs, students went for educating themselves in higher degrees. To keep up with the demand, many colleges were opened up, where one can find graduation, post graduation, PhD and doctorate degrees for the interested candidates. Furthermore, there were more number of colleges established which offered these courses.
When the usual courses in the colleges were filled up, the next obvious step was to start such courses which are useful but didn’t have many seats. As a result of such changes and transformation in the mindsets of people and organisations, it is possible to find varied subjects being offered in the colleges.
The best scenario, which can be found presently, is the opening up of such colleges which are meant exclusively for a particular course such as M Tech or Marine engineering. This is what has been seen in the popularity of the M Tech colleges in India or the marine engineering colleges in India. Even the plenty of merchant navy institutes in India further add to the fact that the education scenario in the country is perhaps at its best.
A few decades back, eyebrows would have been raised at the mention of marine engineering and merchant navy as full time courses being offered in the colleges. But now, students are pre decided that they will go for such courses, much before they are supposed to enter college education. Such changes show a positive sign for the education system in the country. Nowadays, students can find that they have top class M Tech colleges in India, some of which are the IITs, NITs, IISc, BITS, etc. These institutes are accessed by means of entrance exams such as GATE, thereby allowing students to choose the subjects of their choice.
Students can go or the merchant navy institutes in India after their 10+2 courses and study for 4 years, after which they will be commissioned into the merchant vessels for jobs. Such jobs are highly paid and also quite exciting, thereby increasing the popularity of the merchant navy institutes in India.
Marine engineers are in demand in various sectors and they get good pay packets for their work. Due to the multitude of opportunities that are found with this subject, many students are deciding to complete their marine engineering courses from the marine engineering colleges in India. Although there are a few such colleges, yet the lucrative careers have forced students to think about taking up these courses.
Many such subjects are nowadays becoming common, about which people didn’t have any idea a few decades back. Lucrative pay packets, exciting nature of work and the challenge to do something different from the ordinary are the impetuses that have catapulted such subjects into prominence and popularity.
