With death of Pontiac as brand from GM by end of the year 2010, now is worst time for buying used Pontiac which you will ever find. It is ain’t a good time for buying new Pontiac, too When a used Pontiac cars don’t make any sense.

Do not buy pre-owned certified Pontiac cars from dealership. Once brand Pontiac goes away, you will have a problem in getting it serviced. GM has not explained what will to the pre-owned certified warranties after the brand is closed. Saab, Saturn, & Hummer too are on sales block.

There is possibility that GM will be paying other the dealers in the network for doing all the work. This might be one solution, but might be very impractical depending on proximity of the other dealerships of GM. Dealers hate work of warranty as the manufacturers mostly pay up flat pre-negotiated rates which are less as compared to the what the dealership make through private customers.

One more reason for not purchasing a pre-owned certified Pontiac cheap cars is that there isn’t any guarantee that GM will honor the warranties after it enters bankruptcy (& this is looking very likely). Bankruptcy cancels the agreements amidst company & consumer and you could be in trouble here.

The used Pontiac cheap cars won’t have any resale value. Once Pontiac’s death gets announced the price of the vehicles (new & used) will plummet. We wish you good luck for getting any where near value of the used Pontiac when its time to sell.

None of the responsible financial institutions will be willing to lend you any money for used Pontiac cheap cars. The network of dealer will disappear. The automobiles will get more difficult to repair under warranty. The resale values will be weak. We wish you good luck in getting any body but sub-prime lender for backing your loan. Pontiac has not sold any good automobile in a long time. Plenty of people are raving about Pontiac cars G8. Hence, in a few years, used G8 may get good value, but other wise it is hard to think back to Pontiac in last ten years which one would like to have. None of G-series really appeal to people. Solstice too follows the suit. It was over-hyped automobile from start which was worth less than the price tag of $19,995 & had convertible top which was really infuriating for using. Pontiac GTO was nicknamed appropriately as the Goat. Pontiac Aztek is punch line for endless jokes.

Regarding, Pontiac one could stomach in only one thing in the last decade - Grand Prix. It was throwback while the American sedans came with decent performance & distinctive looks.

Your friends will surely laugh at you. Buying used Pontiac cars right now & unless get to produce sales bill showing that you saved about 30 percent or more, ur friends will question judgments. They will start whispering behind the back and this will be embarrassing for you.
