Chelsea, by name, is perhaps best known for the premier league football team, however its location is actually Stamford Bridge, close to Fulham Broadway. Chelsea is located in West London, between the affluent South Kensington, Knightsbridge and of course the aforementioned, Fulham. Horticulture fans will know that the area is the home of the Chelsea Flower Show. This annual event attracts visitors in their thousands, as it is the biggest event, of this nature, in the world. Showcasing the very best in garden design, The Royal Horticultural Society host this competition known as the world’s greatest flower show. The event, which is usually held in the month of May and is broadcast on the BBC for the duration of the show for those who are not able to visit the event themselves. However if you are travelling down to the show to see the finest planting and garden designs, then why not take a taxi to Chelsea? Arriving via this mode of transport may be more desirable than the walk from the nearest rail or tube station. Those with a keenness for arboriculture and floriculture will not only enjoy the array of amazing sights, but enjoying mingling with the talent and collecting tips from some of the best.

However if all this talk about shrubs, cultivated trees, and flower beds is not your idea of an enjoyable day out, then there is so much more on offer in Chelsea. For every shopaholic and avid lover of all things designer, then Kings Road Chelsea is the most favourable of haunts. There are some of the biggest names in retail that will appeal to anyone looking to while away the hours. Well known names such as Jaeger, Jigsaw, French Connection and other popular stores make this shopping street the selected choice. It’s all too tempting to get carried away when you are faced with so many shops to spend your funds. Traipsing around town with hundreds of bags can be tiring work, so you may just want to to hail a SW3 taxi home and rest.

However, if you are looking to refuel, to bring your energy levels back up then why not stop for a bite to eat in My Old Dutch. There is nothing like a sweet treat to bring you back to life. This pancake house, with its selection of savoury and sweet pancakes, it makes a nice alternative to the other cafe-cum-eateries in the area. This original Dutch favourite was established in 1958 and has been providing those in the West End with a relaxed and alternative establishment. If pancakes aren’t your idea of the perfect pick me up then there are other options on the lite menu, including traditional Dutch dishes. If afterwards the idea of negotiating yourself on public transport is enough to put you in a spin, then choosing to ride in a Chelsea cab home will probably be your best bet. Take the hassle out of your journey home, when your laden down with bags and full of pancakes, you just want the quickest and most comfortable route home.
