HTC One Edition Release Delay for Qualcomm S4 Production Hamper

The disruption in production of the system chip had started before Mobile World Congress event, that is three weeks ago. The reason affirmed by the TSMC team states that the impediment is caused because of changes that are to be brought in 28 nm chip. The company is working on this since three weeks and the supplies are expected to be back in market with its new aspects shortly. The supplies, however, will be in short order which can merely touch normal level of requirement and that too by the end of March, 2012.

The former situation became the main reason for the shortage of Qualcomm S4 chip supply to the Android companies and led to delay in launch of many Android phones this season. HTC One version, being one of them, is entirely dependent on the Qualcomm S4 for all its various features and facets and software for Androids including HTC One S and One XL version as well.

HTC Androids, where, was expected to get started with its release in Europe during the first week of April this year, it is being heard from the service providers like T-Mobile USA and AT&T that the accurate rendezvous for the launch event of HTC One series in the country has not been declared till date.

Looking back near the beginning 2012, the production of S4 chip was on its way doing fine scrupulously. However, now it has become bit difficult to state how worse will become the situation for Android OEMs who are very much relied upon the chip. Too much impediment in supply of handset may lead to the blame upon Qualcomm stock directly because of the go-slow of invention. To avoid reverse effect on the Qualcomm trademark it is quite essential for TSMC to get over the hindrance in their materials. The company may face further shortage in supply of their chips during coming season due to current holdup scenario otherwise.
