The engraving industry uses laser engraving equipment since laser technology has many advantages to it. It is only a beam of light, which involves no product contact and is successfully used for heat-treating, welding, engraving and etching. Precisely, it can be said that the laser engraving equipment is used for many aspects in the industrial sector.

It was first in the year 1960 that scientists discovered a source of light that could focus a beam of energy to affect certain definite materials. The light source was named LASER, the acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. The engraving machine soon became popular with its enhanced number of uses. Laser marking, also known as laser etching uses the conventional process of etching without the need of masks.

Laser etching or also known as laser engraving is applied on almost all kinds of materials that you find. The beam of light works great for cutting acrylic, thin polycarbonates, paper, wood and fabric. The best part of laser-etching is that it leaves a permanent mark on the surface with high precision, quality finish and reduced contamination.

The laser engraving equipment can particularly be used on different types of materials like granite, slate, arborite, stainless steel, leather, mirrors and so on. The laser marking services are widely used for a great number of applications that include computer keyboards and also promotional gifts. Laser is mostly used for engraving glass sheets or windows. Besides, they are used for etching company logos or or for decorating purposes.

Using Co2 laser is quite common in industrial sectors and they are mostly used for marking glasses, thus minimizing the cost of supplies and operating costs. laser cuting is also a common process used in the industries. The beam of light acts as razor-sharp blades that cut through hard objects with full ease.

Thus, an overall observation says that that the laser engraving or cutting machines serve many purposes in industries.
