Getting the Most out of Rock and Roll
For most people, digitally downloading a song is as good as it gets, with the convenience and accessibility that allows you to buy and play your music anywhere, whether you're at home, or on the go. For those with a little more appreciation for the art form however, there is an alternative that surpasses the allure of digital music in many ways that you may have overlooked.
With vinyl, not only do you get to listen to all of the same great music you love, but you also get to hear it in a completely different light, allowing you to get a more raw and pure experience, while not losing any of the quality. It's the little things that matter, and when you hear your favorite band on vinyl, you will instantly recognize the difference.
Of all kinds of music to enjoy on vinyl, some do stand out more than others. The genre of classic rock is probably best represented with vinyl, including the likes of The Beatles, Queen, Johnny Cash, and Jimi Hendrix. Hearing these artists and more in this way is gives you move of a sense of how music used to me made, before all the technological advancements that we have today.
Without the mixing capabilities that we now have, artists used to have to rely on skill alone, making the recording process much more difficult, and in turn really showing off the natural talent of these gifted individuals. There is a sweet simplicity that is offered with VPI 16.5 turntables and the records they play. When the needle makes contact with the album, you are almost taken away to another time and place, like you're almost right there in the room when they recorded it.
Even for more modern or high octane artists, the same can be said. When you listen to Bob Dylan vinyl albums it's no different, just the same as if you were listening to the White Stripes or Nirvana. Even though the music may have been recorded at very different times, somehow hearing it on vinyl seems to unify it all under one all-encompassing blanket of quality.
Once you experience all that vinyl has to offer for yourself, you'll begin to understand what all the hype is about, and only then will you truly realize what you've been missing, and what so many others have sworn by over the course of music history, and will continue to for the foreseeable future.
