James Pappas is Member of Nephcure Foundation

The NephCure Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to support research organizations devoted to research causes of the potentially debilitating kidney diseases, Nephrotic Syndrome and Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). Established in 1999, NephCure foundation also provides forum for sharing, supporting and raising awareness about the disease by educating local families and individuals. Son of the co-founder of PJ Mechanical, James Pappas is member of Nephcure Foundation.

He joined the CCFA (Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America’s) foundation in 1995. He became Co-Chairperson of Spring Gala (CCFA) in 2000, and from 2006 onwards, he also became the co-chairperson of CCFA Golf Outing. He is dedicated to help people diagnosed with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and raising awareness about the disease. For his outstanding dedication to CCFA, he received the 2008 Man of the Year Award at the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America’s (CCFA’s) Long Island Chapter Spring Gala in 2008.

James A. Pappas participates in many fund raising events and donates to communities, churches and medical research foundations. He is the major donor and parishioner at Greek Orthodox Church of the Resurrection - Brookville New York and St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church – World Trade Center Site. He is also the major donor of Dormition of the Virgin Greek Orthodox Church – South Hampton NY and Southern Methodist University (SMU) – Dallas TX. He served in many community based foundations and was Board Member of the Village of Brookville in Planning Board and Architectural review in 1998, Committee Member for MS Society, Committee Member for the Cyprus Children's Fund.

This is not all, he is also associated with various other organizations and is committee member for “Special Olympics” and has been taking part in dinner and golf outings for past 7 years. His philanthropic nature is liked by everyone.
