Escape the Ordinary with a Renault Zoe Lease
As expected the Renault Zoe made its production-ready debut but with a surprise twist-it will cost from just £13,650 after a £5,000 Plug-in Car Grant is deducted-making it the most affordable and practical electric car we’ve seen yet. Potential car buyers that have previously been “put off” by the cost of electric cars can now think again. Renault’s Zoe promises great respite to all those considering the lease of an electric car. Renault’s Zoe offers its buyers a variety of charging facilities (over 40%), contrary to other electric cars in the UK.
Recently, we have seen growing concerns over the battery lifespan guaranteed by this electric cars.To address this thorny issue that has seen close to 11 per cent of motorists shy away from electric cars, Renault’s Zoe boasts of vast improvements where battery lifespan is concerned.
With £5,000 in form of government grant, Renault’s Zoe is expected to go for as little as £13,650.Given the limited range of electric cars available in the market today, Renault’s Zoe remains the ultimate choice to lease. Renault’s Zoe is the fourth electric Renault car to arrive and is by far the most significant.
This electrifying and decent looking vehicle, which zips silently through city traffic, is the best priced and most attractive, easy to use electric car on the market to date. The supermini model is the fourth and most highly anticipated of Renault’s electric Z.E range, developed in co-operation with Nissan. The Zoe, set to launch in 2013, will follow already-available Renault Kangoo Z.E and Fluence Z.E and the soon-to-launch Twizy.
Presenting the Zoe Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Renault and the Renault-Nissan Alliance, said: “ZOE will be the spearhead of the Renault Z.E. range and the version on show at Geneva represents the model’s final design. In addition to its compact size, attractive styling and affordable price tag, it showcases Renault’s technological excellence when it comes to electric vehicles. ZOE also heralds the beginning of a new era of electric mobility for all and confirms our commitment to electric vehicles.”
To maximize range, Renault developed the ‘Range OptimiZEr’, which combines three major innovations -new-generation regenerative braking, a heat pump and MICHELIN EnergyTM E-V tyres-to achieve a range that exceeds that of its Nissan cousin, the Leaf. Even in real conditions, for example, in suburban use, Renault expects that the owner will generally achieve around 60 miles in cold weather and 90 miles in temperate conditions.
